Cozy Corner Preschool is a licensed facility which has been in operation for over 30 years. The school’s philosophy is a mixture of the Reggio Emilia and Montessori theories. We thoroughly believe “it takes a village to raise a child” and we work hard to develop a strong partnership with parents in order to provide a first-class educational program. We believe in promoting the development of the whole child and do this by providing activities that are both engaging and developmentally appropriate. Through special interest centers, your child will develop skills that will help him or her to excel throughout his or her school years and for the rest of their lives. Our program focuses on:

  • Social skills
  • Fine motor and gross motor skills
  • Health
  • Academic skills including:
    • Language and cognitive development
    • Spanish/English Language Acquisition
    • Pre-mathematics
    • A strong, hands-on science program
    • Early literacy – Raising a Reader reading program
    • Art
  • Areas of study include; Safety/Health, Manners/Family, Native Americans/Pioneers, Circus/Zoo,  Children Around The World/Transportation, The Five Senses/Emotions, Dinosaurs/Spring on the Farm,  Space/Insects,  Taking Care of Our Planet Earth

Back to School

Good Morning parents; It’s that time already. I hope everyone had an awesome summer, it sure went fast. Please find attached your back to school information. This information will hopefully answer all your questions for the first day of school. Please make sure you read all of it as there have been some changes this year. I have attached the Back to School outline, the supply list, a daily schedule and some information to help your child transition to pre-school. First day of school will be August 23. I will post calendars this week. We will also have a back to school night on August 18 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. This will give new students a chance to meet me and my co-teachers and answer any questions that were not covered in the Back to School outline. Of course if returning students and their parents would like to come and see me, I won’t complain. Tell all your sweet children hi for me and I will see you soon!
