Cozy Corner Preschool is a licensed facility which has been in operation for over 25 years. The school’s philosophy is a mixture of the Reggio Emilia and Montessori theories. We thoroughly believe “it takes a village to raise a child” and we work hard to develop a strong partnership with parents in order to provide a first-class educational program. We believe in promoting the development of the whole child and do this by providing activities that are both engaging and developmentally appropriate. Through special interest centers, your child will develop skills that will help him or her to excel throughout his or her school years and for the rest of their lives. Our program focuses on:

  • Social skills
  • Fine motor and gross motor skills
  • Health
  • Academic skills including:
    • Language and cognitive development
    • Spanish/English Language Acquisition
    • Pre-mathematics
    • A strong, hands-on science program
    • Early literacy – Raising a Reader reading program
    • Art
  • Areas of study include; Safety/Health, Manners/Family, Native Americans/Pioneers, Circus/Zoo,  Children Around The World/Transportation, The Five Senses/Emotions, Dinosaurs/Spring on the Farm,  Space/Insects,  Taking Care of Our Planet Earth

Back to School Night

Greetings parents; I hope you are all having an amazing summer! I can not believe we will be starting school again soon. I have scheduled back to school night for August 21. Monday-Wednesday morning class will have their Back to School Night at 6:00 p.m. The afternoon classes will have their Back to School Night at 6:45 p.m. The Tuesday-Thursday morning class will have their Back to School Night at 7:30 p.m. I hope all can attend. We will answer many questions about what to expect the first day of school and how to help your child with first day jitters.

I have attached a letter with ideas to help your child with transitioning to preschool. Also I have attached an outline with a summary of important information, please take a minute to read the information. At the bottom of this sheet there is a supply list that you will need to bring the first day of school. Also please make sure I receive your health evaluation forms, and any forms you have not already returned to me at this time.

If you have any questions, please give me a call at 970-625-0919. Thanks, I can’t wait to see you all.
