Cozy Corner Preschool is a licensed facility which has been in operation for over 25 years. The school’s philosophy is a mixture of the Reggio Emilia and Montessori theories. We thoroughly believe “it takes a village to raise a child” and we work hard to develop a strong partnership with parents in order to provide a first-class educational program. We believe in promoting the development of the whole child and do this by providing activities that are both engaging and developmentally appropriate. Through special interest centers, your child will develop skills that will help him or her to excel throughout his or her school years and for the rest of their lives. Our program focuses on:

  • Social skills
  • Fine motor and gross motor skills
  • Health
  • Academic skills including:
    • Language and cognitive development
    • Spanish/English Language Acquisition
    • Pre-mathematics
    • A strong, hands-on science program

Covid-19 Quarantine

Parents; unfortunately a family member of one of our children has tested positive for Covid. One family member was tested and came back negative. So understandably, the family assumed that all were negative. The child was not exhibiting any symptoms so she attended school. The following day she began to exhibit symptoms and another family member tested positive. Therefore several students, as well as myself, will have to quarantine for ten days. I have decided to close all classes next week to allow for further disinfecting and prevent cross contamination. I will try to put together some activities that children can do at home and will let you know about these later.

Because cases have spiked, please be hypervigilant about sending your child to school. I have attached information the county sent me to answer questions of who will have to quarantine, and when to keep children home from school. I know that this is hard because many of the symptoms could just be a cold or allergies, however, considering the rise of cases, let’s err on the side of caution. I really do not want to have to close my school again.

Thanks so much.
